Welcome,

I'm so glad you've found your way here! Pull up a chair and pour yourself something warm — or perhaps something with a little sparkle — and settle in.

I'm Deb, a storyteller with more tales tucked away than I can count. My mysteries grow from the richest soil: a life filled with fascinating careers, cherished family and friends, and those lingering conversations over a good glass of wine where the best secrets tend to slip out.

As my family's keeper of stories, I've spent years collecting the whispered histories of ancestors long gone, imagining the lives they lived and the secrets they may have kept. Their voices find their way into my pages, mingled with my own imagination and just a hint of mischief.

When I'm writing, hours slip into days—and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

My hope? That you'll lose yourself in these stories just as happily as I lose myself in creating the.

Stay awhile. There's always room for one more at the table.

Cheers!

Trouble in the Terroir

Bella Stewart, a pragmatic nurse with a talent for observation and a weakness for unsuitable men, has her nursing career perfectly planned—until her estranged, failing mother needs a caregiver. As they spend time together, family tales and secrets come to light but when her mother passes, Bella becomes the reluctant owner of one struggling vineyard and one drafty century house—both conveniently bundled into a single legal-financial tangle.

While reviving her home, she makes discoveries that confirm her late mother's fantastical wartime stories but becomes annoyed when her inherited heirloom jewellery attracts unwanted attention, and vultures, predicting her vineyard failure, circle her valuable terroir. More drama arrives when Bella stumbles upon infamous celebrity ommelier Gaston Bouchard Aimé sprawled dead on her beach. Suddenly county locals are gossiping—what do they really know about this newcomer Bella? Even Detective Steve Boyd, infuriatingly attractive and maddeningly professional, becomes wary of his friendship with Bella and begins eyeing her as a suspect.

Bella partners with the delightfully eccentric Bumbleberry Café regulars whose sleuthing unearths conspiracies lurking beneath the town's charming surface. But as she digs deeper, the killer's sights turn toward her. Can she unmask a murderer and clear her name before losing everything she's unexpectedly grown to love?
